Mission and Values

Come With Open Arms (CWOA) is a Nonprofit Christian ministry connecting people with a giving spirit, with homeless people in need of housing, utilities and transportation that is affordable. If you are willing to share your prayers, assets or skills then this is the place for you.

  • A PLACE to CALL HOME will provide affordable housing, transportation and all other needs of the homeless. We will build small energy efficient rental duplexes around a shared outdoor area. All units would be 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. Assets include but are not limited to land and monetary donations, etc. Skills needed would include constructing and landscaping the duplexes and outdoor areas. Recipients would pay an affordable rent and be responsible for their own utility bills.
  • A RIDE to WORK will help provide a vehicle to get to work. Assets include but are not limited to working vehicles, monetary donations to be used for repairs and improvements, etc. Recipient would possibly pay a portion of the value of the vehicle.

Vision

  • Use the excess from one to eliminate the lack of another.

Mission

  • To improve the quality of life for all those in need by providing housing, utilities and transportation that is affordable.
  • To share the gospel by our words, deeds and lives so that all people we come in contact with would find the love, peace and joy that Christ so freely gives through a relationship with Him.

Core Values

  • Integrity: Conduct business in a way that is honest, transparent and ethical.
  • Accountability: Public disclosure of the information provided to the IRS on Form 990 which includes accomplishments, contributions, grants, functional expenses, compensations, etc.
  • Good Stewardship: Make a good return on the resources available to the ministry. Set standards for financial procedures and internal controls.
  • Community: Collaborate with other agencies and partners in our community to complement the existing resources available in the community rather than duplicate them.
  • Prayer: Use prayer to ask for guidance as we make decisions daily.
