Founder and Executive Director

Brenda Hale was born and raised in Harriman, Tennessee along with 3 brothers and 3 sisters in a Christian home.  Ms. Hale’s career has been in the field of Computer-Aided Drafting and Machining (CAD/CAM). While volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in the 80’s Brenda recognized that most of the recipients were families with children and this left a need for affordable housing/utilities for the elderly. The Lord began dealing with her heart about a compassionate solution to this need with “A Place to Call Home”. She kept this dream alive in her heart and it sprouted another one to provide vehicles for people to start their own business with “A Ride to Work”. She began early in 2019 stepping out in faith with God leading her into his plan to provide for these basic needs: to be safe and warm, to be useful and to be in community.
